About The Artwork
hi there, Bonjour à tous, Whenever I hit a creative bottleneck in Taiwan, I would always go to a remote village in the mountains of central Taiwan to take a break. I often take simple oil paints, a small canvas and a few brushes to sketch these landscapes. I like to go to high ground with waterfalls or fast-flowing rivers to get my shots. I created this piece in the spring of 2023 as a way to document my journey. Here is a work “number 1157” (23 x 31.5 cm, Oil on Canvas) made in 2023.
