In 2011 I created the installation World Economic Summit: Earth on Sale subjecting land grabbing. It consists out of a yellow rape field painting dyptichon and a heap of charred wood and banknotes in front of it. Here you see the painting. The rape field stands for land grabbing as a parallel for all energy plants that deliver biogas and biofuel. Energy plants are foodstuff. By shortening those prices are permanently adapted to the rising oil price so that Indigenous Peoples cannot afford them anymore. The golden glow of the rape field should not blind us to the fact that they are facing serious famine.
