ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A small yellow bird in an abstracted night landscape. This series of paintings Giant Beasts reconsiders the natural world around us. It is perhaps time to reprioritise and make more space and e few more concessions to the natural world and not simply consider as secondary to our immediate needs. I superimpose the realistically rendered animals on the abstracted landscapes to accentuate the contrast and bring the animals to the foreground. This tiny bird commands the much larger and area and demands to be considered.
