Original abstract painting by Alina O'Dwyer. For many years orgasm, especially female, was a taboo topic in society. But feminism gave the woman a voice and now we can talk about sexual pleasure equal on equal terms to men. Having an orgasm as a woman is absolutely amazing, but nothing to make a big fuss over. Over the course of history, however, women's sexuality has been so repressed and punished, that female orgasms have been endlessly theorized by men. Recent research proves that women can orgasm in a myriad of different ways and with different kinds of intensity. But you can discuss orgasm much, this feeling is still not easy to describe by any human language and what is the reason to talk about something, what really much better to feel on your own experience. In my painting, I visualised orgasm like an emotional and physical explosion - blissful, powerful, pleasurable, and mind-blowing. Like huge energy with different intense feelings with different emotional colours and different intensities. The painting is 60 cm by 80 cm with 2 cm depth. All my paintings are finished with a good layer of semi-gloss varnish for bright colours and clear permanent protection for years. Each painting is one of a kind. It's coming painted around the edges to compliment the art work and doesn't need framing. Will be shipped in strong tube, fully tracked
