ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I was inspired by the figure of Simonetta Vespucci, an Italian noblewoman of the Renaissance, Sandro Botticelli's muse. From the portraits that the latter made of her, I started to create a 3D model, I sculpt her and paint her, I put the lights on. after I created the subject I start portraying it, to paint it in oil on canvas. the face interests me, giving the figure a hint of expression, life. As for the Renaissance artists, Simonetta also posed virtualente for me. I wanted to portray her as a child, taking inspiration from her hairstyle in Botticelli's portrait of her, and create a profile of her, like a typical Italian Renaissance portrait
