Gucci Mama Painting

I named this series of painting “Fashionistas in Stone”. This piece is based on the sculpture of Venus de Milo. Greek goddess of love and beauty. The combination of pink and turquoise colors shows us masculine and feminine energies that unite Venus de Milo. Graphic elements represent the cruelty of the goddess of marriage for those who reject love. Right chest covered by provocative green bag “Gucci” maybe it refers to the substitution of the true values for the fashion industry? What is hidden in the name of the painting “Gucci Mama”? There is more mystery. A lot to think about. My technique is oil on canvas. I feel this is the best way to get the specific tactile sensations of a painting. My work is usually organised into series. It is important for me to clearly define and consider in advance the meaning of a series before producing it.
