About The Artwork

I took this photograph at Heathrow Airport in London, England, in 2015. Now, in 2024, I wanted to produce modern art, with the theme of aviation, which is particularly a subject that I have been very interested in, since I was a child. So, through digital resources, I applied an effect to it that reminds me of newspaper photography printing. But in addition, I defined a tail-shaped region, in red, and put the name of the plane on it, leaving the rest of the image in shades of dark gray and white. Satisfied with the result, I finished the work. This art is dedicated to aviation lovers and I imagine that many people who are looking for something modern and unconventional will be interested in it.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
