About The Artwork

The artwork is about lost objects and people. A figurine is floating in the swimming pool of a guesthouse in Cobá, Mexico. You might think that the toy has been forgotten by a young guest running away from the pool looking for shelter from the heavy summer rain. The bright yellow of the little figurine stands out on the intense blue background of the swimming pool tiles which are captured in all their incredible variation as they are distorted by the refraction of the light through the water creating a beautiful gradient of shapes and colours. Limited edition art prints are made from the highest quality paper C-Type Fuji Pearl and dispatched from London. Each edition is signed, numbered and sent with the corresponding certificate to guarantee authenticity. Edition of 50 Paper size 500 x 700mm (approx 19.7” x 27.6”) Image size 400 x 533mm

www.gamodesignworks.com Visual artist, architect and photographer based in London. I grew up in Rome and then moved to France and the UK where I currently work as an architect and concept designer. Self-taught fine art photographer, with extensive experience of 5+ years, I look at image making as a projection of the mind and an exploration of self: a means of personal analysis for both the artist and the viewer. Because of this, the work is rooted in my personal photographs and travelling memories. Specific elements and unexpected characters are selected to compose short narratives which go through deep personal stories and feelings with the aim to abstract them and share a more universal perspective. In the proposed narratives, the events which are captured in the photographs overlay with new meaning and a new layer of emotional interpretation to demonstrate how our personal perception affects the way we see the world. As honest captions of a moment in time, the work consists of digital photography with no major alterations. All image editing is finalized to reinforce concept and communication.
