Gregory Peck, a famous movie star, was a tall, imposing American actor with a deep, gentle voice, best known for conveying characters of honesty and integrity. He achieved many great film roles and had a long and very successful film career. Peck was one of the most enduring Hollywood stars of all time, with a career that lasted almost 60 years, from the 1940s to 2000. Some of his famous films are: Moby Dick, Duel in the Sun, The Snows of Kilimanjaro, Mirage, The Big Country, Boys from Brazil, etc. Gregory Peck, who was considered a fine Hollywood guy, is best known for his film roles that are bigger than life, especially as Atticus Finch in the Oscar-winning film Kill the Mockingbird. He was born on April 5, 1916 in La Jolla [now San Diego], California, USA, and died on June 12, 2003 (age 87) in Los Angeles, California, USA.
