Boys like blue, Girls like pink Print

I was researching since when the convention of blue for boys and pink for girls started and realized this was a short time ago. Actually just after the 50s when Eisnehower´s wife, a very elegant woman, that was very fond of pink, came with the fashion for ladies. In the 80s it reached a peak and everything was pink for girls, boys just went the other way so not to be considered "girly". And now we take it for granted. Looking for objects to express my idea I eventually found the razors and thought how interesting that they looked like a couple laying in bed. And then I realized how the position of the couple in bed is a reminder of how well the couple relation is going and the idea of the whole project came to my mind. It ended up being a thoughtul provocative artwork, for people to think how their relationship is and how conventions model the way we think.
