About The Artwork
Huangshan, these mountains in eastern China, which have inspired so many Chinese painters and artists. A landscape of legendary prints whose tones recall those outlines drawn in ink for hundreds of years. The magic of the fog reinforces the mystery of these mountains. At times, the landscapes become diaphanous and so delicate, giving birth to a secret world. These landscapes were photographed using a silver process with black and white film, the grain of which remains close to the classic works of Chinese painters who used India ink and various paper supports with grainy structures.
