About The Artwork
This city photograph is something that I've always been tempted to take. It was during a day trip to London when the natural daylight was getting less and the lights of the buildings were beginning to light up the architecture I decided I wanted to capture it. Though I have seen several pictures of cities at night I wasn't actually inspired by any particular artist. I took the image using the camera function on my iPhone and used Photoshop to make the changes. I am hoping that people will enjoy the photograph as much as I do and that it catches both their eye and imagination

My interest in art goes back to my primary school years. One day during class our teacher gave us each a picture and encouraged us to paint what was on our individual picture. I painted it, and discovered that I actually enjoyed it and have been completely in love with arts and crafts ever since. Some of my favourite artists are Picasso, Banksy, Tracey Emin, Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst and David Hockney to name but a few. In fact I think it's fair to say that these artists have inspired my work in one way or another. I like to express myself through my artwork whether it be something from my mind or a reinterpretation of something that I've seen. From the moment I put to paper or hold my camera I allow my creativity to run freely.
