About The Artwork
Took this black and white image of a couple drinking coffee along the sea walk. Shot from a flight of one stairs above and at an angle. I liked that they were anonymous and not showing facial features. Only when I edited the photo later did I see the headline from the newspaper: "Boat Tragedy Investigated", then I thought "What would make 2 people stop reading and drinking their coffee to gaze left?" Then I spotted a dog's tail on the edge of the left side of the image, so they must have liked dogs but that's the secret as I edited the partial tail by deleting it. I like the photo better now as there's that unknown element of mystery of their coffee being interrupted and by what.
