This image has been inspired by Gauguin who left behind everything in his home country in Europe and went to Tahiti in 1891 to find a mythical paradise and 'pure' culture on which to base his art. For me this meant to find the beach, which is often visualized in or dreams. The Tahitian islands are beautiful, but nonetheless its not easy to find the perfect beach. After searching for a similar paradise in French Polynesia I found the the location on a sunny day with blue skies, white sand and palm trees in Bora Bora. This represents the combination of an idyllic place. As part of the Limited edition series this art piece comes as ChromaLuxe print of only 5 copies in a large format.
