Between 1974 and 2000 I practiced mainly black and white photography, although between 1977 and 1983 I allowed myself a few forays with color slides. I gathered these images into this collection. They were initially intended as compositional exercises, taken in an urban area (Ottawa, Canada), which visually lends itself easily to that type of exercise. I present the photos full frame, which explains the black edges of the slide (a minimum two inch white border will added to the print). No cropping. I often tried to flatten out any perspective, which occasionally gave more abstract results. The Limited Edition prints have a discreet embossed seal of my name in front. I have them printed as inkjets on a smooth rich mat surface paper, a personal favorite - Epson Hot Press Bright paper, acid free, 100% cotton rag. There’s also the more traditional paper surface for photographic reproduction – Epson Premium Luster. A minimum two inch white border is added around the black edges of the print. The prints produced by Saatchi are done on a mat fine art paper very close to the Epson Hot Press Bright. GET THE BOOK! This image, plus all the images in this collection - Early Colors – are part of my (Print On Demand) book of 51 images called “Quelques incursions en couleurs / Early Colours”, available in two formats through this link: goo.gl/jNp0su
