"Exposed" Taken in 2021 . Limited vintage print. The photography is masterfully printed on analog KODAK paper. A white border of 3 cm is obligatory. Embossed stamp in the lower white border, on the right with the individual limitation number. Signed by the artist on the back of the photograph. With every project, with almost every larger series, I make an additional exposure on analog film material, preferably 6x6 CN or slide. But also sometimes in KB with my FM2. I leave that for now and wait. The latent image matures from then on. Also decreases sometimes in the intensity. (What I take into account in the exposure, of course). So the film waits for its development. Like a good vintage drop, even. A little patience is needed here. Maybe 1-2 years later I am then immensely happy to see a result. Maybe it's a wonderful photograph that I've never seen before. But maybe not a useful result at all. The tension rises. And since I actually always photograph faster than I develop, I always have a nice reservoir of exposed material in my film cabinet. So there's still plenty for me to see. What a wonderful difference from instant, digital availability. Of course, the mental cinema of such a simple 120 film roll varies from viewer to viewer. And of course only becomes real and tangible through the development of the material.

Essence of my artistic life: I am and remain curious and always ready to go new ways in photography. Essential projects of the last years are my series "Momentum" which captures the timeless spirit of cities, landscapes, lonely and hidden places and my series "Heimstatt" which shows the timeless living spaces, dreams and places of people without bringing the people involved into the picture. All my black and white camera obscura photograph are also a small reminder of Nicéphore Niépce who in 1826 made the world's first ever photograph with a camera obscura in an over 8 hour exposure.
