Original & signed 20x24 inches Mounted & Laminated Digital C Print on 1/4 inch Black syntra with wood brace.This piece has been shown in different galleries like Lyons Wier Gallery , SpaceWomb , and Leigh Wen Fine Art …These images belong to the body of work called " American News " ….I'm using the Power and Beauty of Fashion Photography and the Nude to criticize the Media , like : newspapers, radio, TV and/or internet that bombard us everyday with their sensational narratives and titles trying to hipnotize us and/or sell us their news/drama through sex and violence …In my opinion ,there’s a very delicate line between what really news are and what the media does to make a high profit or rating out of it… I experiment with the nude female body because is the source of my inspiration, I felt the need to photograph this story nude 'cause I am convinced that I unconsciously wanted to capture the essence of the female beauty and it was paramount to fulfill my artistic expression and unique style of these images to portray the "Sex Sells" media context of the story . Moreover, the nude female body is the source of my inspiration, I always felt the need to photograph her, I am convinced that I unconsciously wanted to capture the essence of the female beauty and it was paramount to fulfill my artistic expression and unique style of creating images in a nonlinear , almost mathematical way or in the context of a story , dissecting her aesthetics piece by piece. This image was shot using a roll of 35 mm film, it could be color or in black & white, then the roll gets developed and scanned , slightly retouched in Photoshop, just for cleaning & lighting purposes , and finally it was printed large scale or medium size to communicate across their dimensions. Photography is the media of my choice but as a kid I was attracted to painting : especially Surrealism, Cubism and Expressionism , but it didn't come easy to me, so I took a 35 mm camera and started to interpret my vision my own way with it.
