About The Artwork

I find this dry banana leaf very beautiful. I took it to my studio from the tree and it was green and straight but day by day it became more dry and changed form. I find this process very philosophical . Everyone is becoming old but it does not mean that we lose something , we become more interesting , more difficult . We are not just bananas leaf , we are a lot of meaning ,we are a lot of stories , a lot of pain, scars , happy moments ....

Asya Vyalykh has been a photographer for over 13 years. Her career begun with her working on a magazine in a small Siberian city. Soon after, Asya and her family left the cold, and moved to Thailand, where she continued with her work. For a long time, she was demonstrating women's beauty and the uniqueness of each of her models within her works. After mastering the art of portrait photos, she attempted working for several brands in the fashion industry, even once working on the Paris fashion week. However, the dramatic nature and Asya's different view on beauty led her to working on fine art. She single-handedly researched every small detail of the craft. Now, Asya works on new projects, which display her unique outlook on the world. The main recurring theme within her works is the connection between man and nature. Another theme is the beauty around us. While most of the time Asya uses digital photography, she also loves using film. Black and white photographs are used to attract attention, bring forward the meaning behind the photograph and show off the finest details.
