ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The day I made this photo, I went to the temple authorities for permission to use my tripod. I was the first person to enter and had the advantage of no tourists in the photo. Two guards dash between the column archade, dressed in typical Egyptian flowing robes. They provide scale and movement so the viewer can realize the giant size of the columns and the great statue of Ramses.
