About The Artwork
A small wave masquerading as a rope on a remote beach in south-west Ireland. I spend much of my time outdoors under the big Atlantic sky rowing traditional Irish currachs. This photograph has not been altered digitally. This artwork can be produced in varying sizes. Poetry allows me to convey big ideas on small packages The verse accompanying the photograph is: Mariners' Chorus Black-headed tern sketching shapes in the air with his nib Arcing up up up on nature's bluster Smashing skyward on his swelling jib Breeze brings vast the song of the sea Whipping peaks on troughs of doleful mournful melody Discordant deep and distant doldrumic ennui Invisible veil's incessant howl The hush, hush, hushhhhhhhing rush Of rise and dipping growl Who cares to hear? This sacred chorus of mariners' souls Trapped forever and forever old
