About The Artwork

Photography: Color, Ink, Digital on Paper. Title: Moscow Outskirts - H Faktory - 009-2 This image was made on my first trip to Russia. The weather was just as I imagined. Cold, windy, snowing and raining. I loved it but it did keep me from shooting more photography. Next time I will come home with more images of this mamboing country. Printed on Fuji Crystal paper which has fabulous color reproduction and a slight luster. 50 Originals with signature, title and number of the print. About My Work I believe in giving my clients beautiful artwork on the best papers that hold their colors for the life of the print. I only use one industry source for printing here in Orange County California. My printer has spent years perfecting this skill and they maintain control of the color representation at all stages to ensure you get a truly handmade image. About My Paper People often say that my Automotive and Nighttime images look like paintings because of the richness of the colors, the depth of the black and the Fuji paper I use for my originals. I am happy to take custom orders, just drop me a line.

Besides being an accomplished commercial photographer, Dean Kirkland has quickly become a highly accomplished commercial, television and film director by combining his keen visual eye to unusual and powerful subject matter. His unique style and sophisticated approach have allowed him to transition from a-list photographer to well-respected filmmaker with an esteemed client list that includes the Home Depot, Lamborghini, Antonio Tetro, Clint Eastwood and Martin Sheen. Dean is recognized for his innovative and unique style of automotive and nature photography and is regarded by many high-profile collectors throughout the nation to be one of the most distinguished in his craft. His ongoing passion for the storied history of automobiles sent Dean on a metaphorical vision quest. In 2012, he combined his talents with the knowledge and racing experience possessed by his production partner, Rick Knoop, and the two men established K&K Productions. Their first collaborative project is a beautifully engaging look into the Pebble Beach Road Races from 1950 through 1956 titled, ‘Racing Through The Forest’ which has been scheduled for a spring of 2015 release. Illustrating these wonderful stories through documentaries allowed Dean to photograph, interview and film some of the world’s greatest cars and drivers. Dean is currently developing several documentaries which include Parnelli Jones, Bobby and Al Unser, Mario Andretti and Sir Sterling Moss. The ability to continue capturing and preserving this valuable automotive history in his unique style and aesthetic vision is the goal and the living dream for Dean Kirkland.
