About The Artwork
Formative image of a fashion series that I realized in the mid-eighties. The series shows the clothing creations of young Swiss avant-garde designers (SAFT) at the time. I arranged the scenes in the dilapidated, at that time morbid charm radiating Ticino Grand Hotel in Brissago, which by its former mundanity in the twenties was a sought-after meeting place of the Hautevolee. I realized the shootings with a large, motivated crew. We worked with a lot of heart, extensive lighting, gasoline generators and rubber boots, because all the floors were full of wet gibs from the former stucco ceilings.
