About The Artwork
He was reading the Quran in a very old stone-made house in the east of Turkey. There was an opening in the ceiling of the old building, and natural light was coming in from there, and the old man was sitting exactly under that light. Caravaggio came to my mind. He uses light very well in his works. I took this shot commemorating his technique and mastery. It was shot with a 35 mm f1.8 lens and a close-up open aperture culture.
