Eostre is the Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring, dawn, and woodlands. It is thought to be the namesake of the Christian festival of Easter. The image portrays the Edinburgh-based English painter Mary Trodden, whose works recall, albeit in a modern key, Celtic and Gothic art. At the base of the image is the famous Apprentice Column of Rosslyn Chapel in Edinburgh, Scotland. In the photo, part of the inlays on the column are replaced with details from the painting “Ressurection in Leith, 2016” by Mary Trodden. This image is part of the “Photographing the Process of Creation” project. This is a photographic research project whose aim is to investigate the essence of painting and what painting implies, mainly in terms of the thought and inspiration of the painter. Thanks to a digital zoom lens, a detailed enlargement of this artwork can be scanned on the Portfolio-Artists page of the author’s website, www.innovativefineart.com. Printed on archival Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 gsm fine art paper (matt); signed and numbered on the back. The print has an additional 0.4-inch (1cm) white paper border to facilitate handling and framing. 
 Printed on request on a different Hahnemühle fine art paper: Photo Rag Baryta 315 gsm (glossy) or Fine Art Pearl 285 gsm. Both the artwork and the signed Certificate of Authenticity bear a customized, tamper-evident Swiss-made hologram (www.3dag.ch) with the author's logo, the URL QR code, and an exclusive alphanumeric code.
