ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Idilios (Spanish lyrical word for ‘romances’ in English) shows a series of romantic situations representing a number of love experiences performed by the same woman with different men. Scenes are depicted within an idealised context with the purpose of stressing the experience of romantic love. The kiss represents the immediate satisfaction, a search for pleasure in a symbolic act devoted exclusively to seduce us. This work emerges from a reflection about the concept of ephemeral, related with love, happiness, experiencing, and the range of different cultural values.
