Serenely Hostile was inspired by the late great Ansel Adams. While Ansel shot in strictly black and white, his focus was on hyper in focus landscapes. I am attempting to visit and capture unique settings within all 62 American National Parks. Serenely Hostile, is a unique capture from Death Valley National Park, the largest National Park in the continental US.
I want the viewer to feel paradoxical. I want them to feel peaceful while viewing this image, but simultaneously feel on edge. The desert is a place of beautiful landscapes, but it is also a place hostile to life.
This is a one off framed and signed on the back work of art, a true 1/1 work of art. Printed on the highest quality archival paper. Smaller prints of this work are available but only one large format framed version of this work exists.
