Painter , engraver and photographer Peintre, graveur et photographe. My photographic work is part of the research into the interaction of shadow and light on visible subjects. Unlike my abstract pictorial work which focuses on lines, color and purely imaginary shapes. The engraving is what establishes a link between the two. Freedom is the condition of any artistic form. But if each technique offers its creative possibilities, it brings with it its own constraints. However, a long working experience transforms these constraints into new spaces of freedom by the search for all that the materials used offer us as possibilities. This is why research remains at the foundation of artistic practice and results in something new. To be free is not to be locked into a repetitive process, but on the contrary, to try to overcome it each time.
