About The Artwork
This image was selected for a group exhibition in Sydney, October 2017. The theme of the exhibition was 'Monochrome diaries - an urban narrative'. An Interpretation of cityscapes recorded by four experienced art photographers from the NebuliArts group.This exhibition invited the viewer to stop and respond to the details of the city that are lost in the everyday rush. I am looking up the steps of the Sydney Opera House to the entrance. The image is taken with an 8mm fish-eye lens. To increase the effect of the monochrome I have the image printed on brushed aluminium with no white coating or ink being used. The print is fitted with a floating hanger which will lift it 14mm off the wall.
