Taj Mahal in winter fog - Limited Edition of 20 Print

Arriving in Agra on a very cold winter's day I found the Taj Mahal shrouded in thick fog. I wanted to get this view with the reflection so I scouted the river side, being careful to avoid the police guards who monitor anyone who gets close to the river side and waiting until the following morning to get a possible sunrise. Of course the fog hadn't shifted much bythe next morning but it did thin out enough for me to get this monochrome reflection in the absence of any colour. It also helped hide me from the police checkpoint long enough for me to get many shots and angles. I had to beat a hasty retreat however when a couple of guards were despatched to stop me... waving their stick weapons as they approached. I was well down the river bank before they could get anywhere close and I had my driver waiting for a quick getaway. It's often like this at important architectural sites in India, their bureaucracy can't handle anyone outside their usual tourist control..so you have to plan getting these kinds of shots well!
