This is a famous locomotive in American railroad history. The 4449 powered "The Most Beautiful Trains in the World" as Southern Pacific Railroad's "Daylights" were called in the heyday of passenger rail service. The 4449 also powered the American Freedom Train in 1976 on its national tour to mark America's Bicentennial. This locomotive now resides in Portland Oregon at the Oregon Rail History Museum.

Greetings, I am a late career photographer curating my 50-year archive and selecting limited edition images for the Saatchi Art online gallery. I have always tried to create images that invite the viewer in and encourage my collectors to want to "live" with my images in their homes and offices. I have always tried not to confuse myself with Michelangelo.
