About The Artwork

A bridge between the outer and inner realities. This work can be purchased each section separately or as a polyptych (in four parts). Each section is priced separately. Please look at the sequence. Pop Art. Film photography digitally altered. The Green Girl is one of my favorite photograph-series (1 to 4) in that it proves what a famous photographer once said: that a very good camera can see more things than one would ever imagine. I have had the same impression. Often as one photographs a subject, the photograph shows another, deeper, subtler reality which was there all along, unseen. The Green Girl is a beautiful example of that. I placed a very good camera (a Contax AX with a Carl Zeiss 135 mm lens at f2.8) stationary in front of the face of the mannequin and made four takes with the same position, same light, same aperture; the negatives were processed and transferred using the same setting. Look at the results! Yes, if you take them distracted, sometimes one may photograph angels or realities in between jumping around in the night . . .

Born in Monterrey, Mexico. The family moved to Mexico City when he was three years old. Belonging to a family of artists, received training in the fine arts from early childhood. First work on film and photography was done for his father (who made documentaries). Years later began accumulating negatives made during trips as a music performer.
