I took this photograph in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, and it shows a detail of the façade of the Palace of Arts. This building, inaugurated in 1971, was designed by architects Oscar Niemeyer and Hélio Ferreira Pinto. Its importance to Brazilian architecture motivated me to photograph it and I chose this detail because it is a striking element of the façade. This artwork, with the modernity of its lines, should attract the attention of collectors looking for something timeless, with a focus on angular shapes.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
