About The Artwork

Colored liquid under a surface of frozen water. Chaotic structures, created by chance. Photographed intuitive and waiting, at the supposedly right moment and thus photographically captured and frozen. Inspired by the joy of random structures and the interplay of color and form. Each photograph a unique and not repeatable by the result. Much room for the imagination of the respective viewer included. Taken in 2021. Limited vintage print. The photography is masterfully printed on analog ILFORD material. A white border of 3 cm is obligatory. Embossed stamp in the lower white border, on the right with the individual limitation number. Signed by the artist on the back of the photograph.

Essence of my artistic life: I am and remain curious and always ready to go new ways in photography. Essential projects of the last years are my series "Momentum" which captures the timeless spirit of cities, landscapes, lonely and hidden places and my series "Heimstatt" which shows the timeless living spaces, dreams and places of people without bringing the people involved into the picture. All my black and white camera obscura photograph are also a small reminder of Nicéphore Niépce who in 1826 made the world's first ever photograph with a camera obscura in an over 8 hour exposure.
