Driven by a love of Creation, and some God given talents. Ryan has had some of the greatest opportunities to attend some of the finest Art and Trade Schools in the Northeast. His talents, like many, were spotted at an early age. On the North Shore of Massachusetts, in High School, Ryan was selected to participate in their Boat Building program. only two students are selected each year, for this program. Ryan and his Classmate Jeremy were selected three years in a row. After High School, the clear choice was North Bennet Street School in the North End of Boston. To attend their Furniture and Cabinet program. where he and went on to complete their program and built some pretty impressive and unique pieces. So when did Photography enter the picture?... “Great question… It was on break, in high school while getting some fresh air from the Bondo fumes, gluing the back of the boat together, in Boat Shop… I'd watch some of the other students walk around, with 35mm film cameras taking pictures of leaves and clouds… It looked fun.” So why didn’t you pursue photography after high school? “Let's just say the guidance counselors didn't offer too much guidance. It wasn’t till around 2012, when I was taking a photography workshop at the MFA in Boston, that somebody told me about New England School Photography. Again, way to go guidance counselors Ha Ha ha!. there was no looking back after learning of this place. I applied, got accepted, and was off shooting rolls of 120 Film and printing stacks and stacks of Work Prints in no time! it was awesome... The unfortunate part was, NESoP closed their doors. After more than 50 years of pumping out some great photographers. Broke our hearts! That school was a gem. And the People!... Just awesome!… Needless to say, I am so grateful and lucky to be able to attend all of the wonderful Classes and Workshops I’ve taken through the years, and will continue to take.” With such dedicated and precious time spent training and now just shy of ten years of experience in the Professional field of photography. It is clear, that after working with Ryan, you will see, he can bring such talents, creativity and playfulness; to his works.
