WHITE HORSE Print - Limited Edition of 15

April 2022. The cremello horse is distinguished by its fur and hair of a colour that is almost white, which can be described as broken white. The horse's skin is pink and its eyes are blue. " White Dream " is a young versatile fully German bred stallion from proven bloodlines. Worldwide, only 3 stallions have been bred like him. His stature and appearance make him look like a statue. I got the chance to photograph him on the beach at the coast in the Netherlands. I was looking for minimalistic portraits and chose to shoot in black and white. The blue sky on this sunny day seemed ideal so the black and white conversion created a dark effect, contrasting beautifully with the light colour of the horse. Because of the little pigment in the eyes, the challenge was to photograph it with its eyes open. Because of the oppressive sun, the light was bright at times and it often walked around with its eyes closed. I was able to photograph him for a relatively long period of time, from which I selected this series of photos. I look back on this with a smile, as I could not have hoped for better conditions for my style of photography on that day.
