This vibrant piece was inspired by the works of Homer, The Odyssey and The Iliad, where the author mentions the wine-dark see (οἶνοψ πόντος). There is a sense of danger mixed with the potential for tranquility that is reminiscent of adventure. Looking towards the horizon, it is easy to imagine that land, and safety (or adventure), could be just over the horizon.
