4 FACES, 6 EDGES ..one truth. This painting has a calm, neutral, yet sharp and somewhat chaotic energy. This painting symbolizes the inherent neutrality in every situation and every moment. Nothing is what seems to be at face value and nothing has built-in meaning, apart from the meaning you give to things. We see everything from a certain perspective and give it meaning according to our beliefs. Every perspective is as true as it is not. If you look at this painting, you see lines and colors, if you look a little longer you see triangles, if you look deeper than that, you will see that all triangles are part of a tetrahedron. There are infinite points of view to look at something. All are equally valid. To understand the different perspectives, we have to look deeper into the points of view, without judgment, and at the same time we have to zoom out in order to see the larger context wherein it is all happening. In the bigger picture, all points of view resolve and disappear once it is seen that it is all part of one painting, one truth. All can be perceived from infinite perspectives, with each their unique colors, flavors, shapes and forms.

My Name is Roeleke, from the Netherlands. I am inspired by my life experiences and in my seeking for the truth. I receive inspiration through nature, in my dreams at night, meditations and in quiet moments. I don’t really remember the moment I started painting. It just sort of happened spontaneously when I was traveling and staying with a friend who is an artist in 2017. I didn’t go to art school, I learned and I am learning by doing. Painting helps me to express what I can’t expressed in words. The artworks are books to me. Written for me, by me, through me... and to be shared, with you. You'll find (sacred) geometry in my art and symbolism. I was invited to present my work at a Dutch art festival in 2019 and I am looking forward to exhibiting my art in the future. It’s my wish to ‘color’ more rooms and uplift more people through the art. Whether people desire to have a piece in their homes or not, I like to believe that it benefits people when they take a look at my art pieces, pause and let themselves be taken in by them.
