Alice poses for a selfie. Inspired by Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland". I made this piece imagining that Alice's universe overlapped with our current self obsessed vanity culture. After a night of partying (or a hallucinogenic adventure) Alice decides to pose for a selfie. Original is watercolour and ink on paper (already sold). A new print release of 25 high quality Giclee prints now available - A3 size - they come with a certificate of authenticity, the artist's official studio stamp and are signed and numbered. Bryan James lives and works in Dublin, Ireland. He is predominantly interested in representation of the human figure using traditional drawing and painting methods. He is influenced by Japanese art and the practice of Zen in the visual arts. Using traditional methods allows for direct expression and any “mistakes” that naturally occur as part of this process become an important feature of the work. He won the 2014 Glamour Paris international illustration competition and has exhibited in Ireland, France and the USA.
