About The Artwork

While undergoin Cancer treatment for A.M.L. in 2018 I was unable to physically create anything, so I began working on digital prints and developped a series of prints. "Broken Bindings" was the last one I did and was a print from the very first mixed media on wood that I was able to finish after leaving UCSF im 2019. Broken Bindings was a metaphore for what I felt I had been through while dealing with stage 4 Cancer and surendering to the process and path that I was on.

Rtchr J Hymnz (Born Jason Scott Furman is a multi media artist building on an idea of "a beautiful disaster" (the name of his first art series) and an idea he had back in 1998-99. Building layers with a natural flow attitude of what will be will become a layer within the bigger picture of reflecting how lifes transgressions are like layers that we are all made of, and only in the end do we see the whole vission. Trusting that it will not only be ok but you will have created the best possible out come, And the proof is in the many layers that self reflecting captures within times beautiful mistakes... His mission of art To relearn how to see and hear the music...how to dance to life's rhythms....lucid and awake. To learn to capture the suddle nuonses of my subconscious... Organic with flow and movement. Bright colors and mixed medias... Abstract in nature...textures and collages...with a flow like blown glass. "My present goal is to dive into destruction, darkness and chaos and find the hidden lights that only reflect upon the darkness of the void. To bring back for the viewer the lost elements of myself that get fragmented in the aftermath of chemotherapy."
