About The Artwork
I saw him on a rainy night on my windowsill. A real storm was raging outside the window, and my old sprawling cactus turned into a black pirate ship fighting the water element. In the dark, flashes of lightning illuminated its masts and sometimes it even seemed to me that I could see little people scurrying around the deck in panic. By the morning the rain ended, the gentle sun came out again, but this cactus ship remained forever in my memory. And when I want to get into a fairy tale, I sit in my favorite chair in front of the window, turn off the light and let this magic ship take me far, far into the valley of my desires. Try it and you will make this exciting journey! The artwork was created using the author's technique of color linocut, from forms that I cut out by myself. The drawings from which the shapes were cut are the fruit of my imagination and inspiration, as well as more than 25 years of artistic experience. All my artworks are created by hand and exist in a single copy! The artwork is printed on quality paper, signed at the bottom of the print, as well as on the back. The artwork is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The size of the artwork is 39.4x27.6" (100x70 cm). This artwork is without decoration. It requires registration in a frame, mat, and glass. I carefully pack my artworks and ship them in thick cardboard tubes. As far back as I can remember, I have been drawing. An artist, a painting teacher, a participant in international exhibitions, master classes, and festivals - all this is about me. I work with different techniques - graphics, watercolors, landscapes, mosaics, but color linocut became my special passion. Fortunately, my greatest admirer and ideological inspirer is my husband, Pavlo Nikolaychuk. Thanks to him, many absolutely magical paintings were born in my workshop. One of the great authors said: "Art is completely useless, but without this uselessness, it is absolutely impossible to live!" I think people are born with creativity, and if you have it, it is impossible not to create. Because this is the same process as breathing. Correctly say you can not do - do not. I was the curator of the international project "1st International mini-print in Kiev" in 2010, Central House of Artists, Kyiv, Ukraine, Tarnobrzeski and "Na Pietrze" Galleries, Keltsi, Poland.
