A limited edition, hand printed screen print, made in England. Inimitable, elegant and the classic embodiment of Old Hollywood style, Audrey Hepburn was one of the greatest fashion icons of the 20th century. The photo that I have used for this print comes from Funny Face, a 1957 American musical romantic comedy, where a fashion magazine editor is looking for the next big fashion trend both "beautiful" and "intellectual" and models who can "think as well as they look." She will find Jo (Audrey Hepburn), a shy bookshop clerk and amateur philosopher... I thought that this photo was perfect to illustrate one of the most inspirational and beautiful quote by Audrey Hepburn : " I believe happy girls are the prettiest girls". I hope this print will inspire you and lift you up on those dark days as well as the bright. Please note colour may vary (only slightly) in the flesh. This screen print was hand printed in water based inks on 300gsm Cartridge Paper. Size of image : 30 X 20 cm Limited edition of 20 prints. PLEASE NOTE: Frame not included. This print will be wrapped in acid free tissue paper and packed in a robust cardboard box for delivery. A trackable mailing service is normally used to ensure it reaches you safely.

I am a printmaker and mixed media artist based in London. I rely on photography, drawing, paint and collage to explore the world around me. In my artworks, images are combined, removed from their original narrative context and reconfigured into a new scenario. Some of my works are based on collages, transformed into a hand made screen print. I appreciate the messiness of sticky glue, soggy paper and the unpredictable nature of the final product. I am interested in working on the boundaries between collage and technology. My visual language embraces the brightness of Pop art. I like the screen printing media because it is no longer confined to a simple impression on paper, it offers artists a way to experiment and fail, to test colour relationships and play with ideas. Often appropriating visual themes and incorporating these as printed motifs, I adopt a playful approach in my practice. Inspiration is found in my surroundings: colours, lines, shapes and patterns that can be found in cities, design and fashion and try to find humour in day to day life. I am inspired also by pets and their special place in our family life.
