About The Artwork
The work "Even the wall remembers" was made in the traditional techniques of workshop graphics: etching and aquatint. The work is made of 70/100 cm on paper. Matrix size 60/80 cm. The graphics were inspired by the hard times of the Second World War. The work presents the hard times of war. The triple wall, these are the ruins of St. John in Warsaw, Poland. The illustration shown in the graphic was invented by me. Archival photos of the Cathedral of St. John in Warsaw, whose walls are silent witnesses. My goal was to show the beauty and mystery of the past years.

Poland
Irena Lawruszko was born in 1992 in Tarnopol, Ukraine. In the years 2012-2017 she studied at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. Bachelor's degree in painting and art master's degree in workshop graphics. In 2017, she defended her master's degree under the supervision of dr hab. Alicja Snoch-Pawłowska. In the same year, I started my doctoral studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She is the author of 85 exhibitions, including 44 international, 29 national and 12 individual exhibitions. Participation in international competitions and collective exhibitions, incl. Japan, Romania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Argentina, Italy, Sicily, Portugal, Spain, India, Ireland, Mexico, Macedonia, United States, Turkey, Germany, France, Sweden, Latvia, United Kingdom, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Korea, Republic of Africa Poludniowa, Shri Lanca, Poland and Ukraine.
