About The Artwork

I have (somewhat) reversed the hue to these balls in contrast to their Parent depictions from my “SMITHON MORPHOLOGY”. When completing the sequence the two annulus surrounding these globes get compressed into multi-looped floral patterns, which when re-combined, create the SMITHON. No longer are there any inner circumferences filled with patterns. Poof, they are gone. No balls. That implies to me these globes are on the other side of the page. Whether the SMITHON represents the smallest thing in the universe, the soul or a power source that fuels the big bang, this vanishing act infers an inevitable, invisible tethering between reality and non-reality. These may be construction lines of data between parallel universes. I now think of these balls as functioning similar to the pins that lock broaches into place on the other side of fabric.
