About The Artwork
Old clothes that follow us around the globe and bring back many memories are the source of inspiration for this work that is also indulging on nostalgia, for I used my grandmother pasta press to print it. I was inspired by Carla Accardi and Jim Dine and their use of scribbles. Solar plate etching is a fairly recent etching technique that, instead of requiring the use of acids to make marks, uses sun and water. I like it because it is an environmentally friendly process. Archival Fabriano Rosaspina 385 gsm2 paper. I will provide a certificate of authenticity. For each print I mix fresh new colors that make it unique. The matrix is the same the print is NOT a multiple.

I am an Italian artist born and raised in Torino, Italy, where I currently live. Lawyer by trade, I picked up painting later in life with the joy of a child and the commitment of a grown up. I had the great fortune of living in the UK, Brazil and USA. My works are small and mainly on paper, new or found, clean or dirty, on individual sheets or in sketchbooks. Unable to focus on a single medium, my practice employs drawing, watercolor, collage, printmaking and threads sewn directly on the paper. My figurative art resonates with the cultures that I was exposed to and with my passion for horses. I have worked with artists Sandra Bianchi (Brazil) and Tetsuro Shimizu (Italy).
