MYTHOLOGY OF EVERYDAY LIFE 2010 - book project (drawings and prints, various dimensions) The project KEEP THE FEARS (Mythology of everyday life) is inspired by the monograph “Picasso and Dora Maar: Touching with Looks”. The catalogue traces Dora Maar’s, born Henriette Théodora Markovitch in 1907, relationship with Picasso from 1935 to 1937. Her photographs, alongside Picasso’s drawings, paintings, and poems, serve as a guide through the critical period in which these two figures influenced one another. By using this publication as a personal diary, for more than 4 years, I am superimposing text, drawings and interventions over already existing photographs and illustrations. The diary or the new book is the mixture of the photographic documentation with my personal narrative texts and iconography, tracing my own private and emotional life during the period in which I was going to psychoanalytic therapy. In this autobiographical series I am investigating the notions of longing and trusting, rejection and fulfillment, defending and justifying, but in the first place I am thinking about the position of power in our society between the two genders. The experiences of intimacy and its peculiar effects on the body and mind is a recurring theme in my work and here I am starting from that point.
