I create utopian and optimistic imagery of animals, focusing particularly on the animals we encounter in everyday life. My latest series of dogs draws the viewers attention to their unique presence and energy, whilst striving to communicate emotional depth and atmosphere. These vibrant and unique screen prints form part of a collection called ‘Animals close to me’ and are all one-off pieces inspired by direct meetings with the subjects. By employing exciting neon hues my subjects become heroic in their radiance. The works are hand-pulled in my studio using 'old school' techniques on hinged wooden screens. Editions are very small with each print often varying from the next. Whist successfully exhibiting and selling to an international market I also try to focus on working closely with charities and non profit organisations to help the world become a better place through the medium of art. I have enjoyed significant success over the past few years in both promoting and selling my work in the local east end community and have made some fantastic sales to both local and International buyers.
