This is a diagram for a wading pool. It is comprised of 24 concentric polygons with equal length sides and a parallel side (for easy entry and exit in and out of the pool). This design is one variation of my original 1968 conception of the first Organized Polygons, and is prominent in my “Polygonum Progredi”. 24 is a convenient number for me and I often use it, but in this case there is something more relevant about it. The 24th polygon yields 26 sides. The sun, apparently, emits 26 chemical elements - iron being the 26th. All the other elements are supposed to come from much larger, hotter colliding bodies than the sun. I consider this an homage to the sun and it’s 26 elements. A respite for it, and us, and all our hard work. Perhaps the perimeter should be inscribed with the symbols for each element, or their attributed statues. If you like bold, meaningful architectural drawings the simplicity of this one certainly must earn it a location somewhere in real estate. Over the years (probably influenced by having worked in a school of architecture), I have been more and more inclined to extrude my drawings. Now, I am even fond of using 3D software that architecture students use. But, I am not particularly inclined to architecture - it’s not big enough.
