About The Artwork

‘The Mallard’ is a series of three prints inspired by railway design and architecture. The Mallard was a speed record breaking A4 Class locomotive built in 1934 in the UK. My work explores the facades of structures and buildings investigating the interplay of surface and colour with the subtle notions of space inferred by reflections and shadows. My images are often carefully selected and conspicuously edited. This print is a limited edition archival digital print each of which is signed and numbered. Flat areas of colour are laid down on the paper and the image built up in subsequent layers replicating to some extent the construction of the subject. My work is in private and public collections in the UK and abroad. This triptych of prints can be hung in a range of ways to suit individual household or corporate spaces. Each image can printed separately from 30hx60wcms (as priced) up to 90x180cms(+60%) with or without an additional paper boarder. They can be displayed in three separate frames or in one larger frame allowing for greater flexibility and options.
