The graphic sheet was created using colour linocut technique. The illustration for the fairy tale “12 months” was made in the style and manner characteristic of the author. Attribution Ostafiychuk Ivan Vasilyevich (1940) is a Ukrainian painter, graphic artist and laureate of the Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine. He graduated from the Vyzhnytcia College of Applied Arts in 1960; Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (now the Lviv National Academy of Arts) 1965, textile department; his teachers were K. Zvirinsky, R. Selsky. Since the 1960s, he has been participating in exhibitions. His professional interests include easel and book graphics, painting, art textiles and ceramics. Preservation The work is in a good state. It will complement the collection of connoisseurs of Ukrainian traditional easel prints of the second half of the twentieth century, and will also be interesting to fans of the book illustration genre.
