Current area of interest and field of study in Vice Glibota art is the concept of cognitive dissonance, a psychological effect that arises and manifests itself in a human being because of the conflict between two mutually exclusive beliefs and principles, egotism and cosmicism. Egotism, the defense mechanism protecting the concept of subjective“self”, putting “I” in the center of meaning against the cosmicism, the concept of cosmic indifference towards life in general, human life and its intrinsic values. The artist trough his works puts himself as a narrator and sometimes lead antagonist in the story in which the characters are set in a state of mind of cognitive dissonance which arises from not coping with two aforementioned concepts. The artist tries to justify his existence reflecting on itsef, only to find himself contemplating existential nihilism... In this process it seems the more the artist tries to explain his existence, the more cosmic horror he confronts. Vice Glibota art is inspired by literary works of: Jean-Paul Sartre, Thomas Ligotti, Douglas Hofstadter, Nick Bostrom, H.P.Lovecraft, Albert Camus, Stephen King, Percy Shelley, Robert W. Chambers and many others... “The closer you get to your essence, the further you go down your strange loop” Douglas Hofstadter
